Indirect ELISA kit for the detection of anti-Maedi Visna Virus (MVV) and anti-Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis Virus (CAEV) antibodies in ovine and caprine serum, plasma or milk (Saman et al, 1999, Clin. Diagn. Lab. Immunol. 6: 734-740). The use of a patented mixture of a core (recombinant p25) and an envelope antigen (TM1 gp46 peptide) provides a significant increase in sensitivity over either antigen alone. Since recombinant and peptide antigens are used, no non-specific reactions due to Bluetongue virus vaccination are observed (Valas et al, 2011, Clin Vac. Immunol. 18: 513-517). The kit comes in a 5-plate format, each plate containing 12 x 8 strip wells.

Indirect ELISA kit for the detection of anti-phospholipase D (PLD)antibodies in ovine and caprine serum, plasma, and milk from sheep and goats with caseous lymphadenitis (CLA) (Fontaine et al, 2006, Vaccine 24: 5986-5996). PLD is the major secreted toxin produced by Corynebacterium pseudotuberculosis and is responsible for causing caseous abscesses. PLD is only found in C. pseudotuberculosis and in the related pathogen C. ulcerans. The plates are coated with recombinant PLD. The kit comes in a 5-plate format, each plate containing 12 x 8 strip wells.

Indirect ELISA kit for the detection of anti-POMP90 (POMP)antibodies in ovine and caprine serum from sheep and goats with Enzootic Abortion due to Chlamydia abortus infection (Longbottom et al, 2002, J. Clin. Microbiol. 40: 4235-4243). POMP is a major outer membrane protein of Chlamydia abortus that is not present in Chlamydia percorum, thus allowing good discrimination between the two infections unlike the complement fixation test and other Chlamydia ELISAs.
